New
Jersey's Democratic
Future is
the Garden State's network of rising leaders. It is
the organizing hub of a state-wide network of
professionals and students supporting federal,
state and local candidates who respond to the
concerns of our communities.
As KerryCore-NJ in
2004, this network raised nearly $70,000 from young
professionals and students in New Jersey - most of
it in contributions of $75 or less, and most of it
from people who had never made a political
contribution before. NJDF also deployed hundreds of
volunteers in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and New
Hampshire to support the Kerry-Edwards ticket in
the final weeks of the 2004 campaign.
2004 demonstrated
technology's power to change American politics.
NJDF used this power to create an organizing model
where one person could invite another person, and
so on and so on, to come out and get involved - by
supporting a candidate, bringing our views to the
current political leadership, or simply getting
together to talk politics. The result has been the
empowerment of thoughtful and progressive
individuals who traditionally have not had a voice
in New Jersey politics.
All New Jersey
Democrats and their allies should feel welcome at
our low dollar, high fun events. By applying our
collective fundraising, grass-roots and shoe
leather capabilities, we help all members of our
network rise to the positions and opportunities
that will enable us to make ever more of a
difference in New Jersey and the nation.
To
put it another way, "We're what's next." Be part of
the network!
